Dubai Crown Prince Tours 31st Arabian Travel Market, Highlights Dubai’s Global Tourism Role
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, visited the 31st Arabian Travel Market today, a prominent global travel and tourism event hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 6th to 9th, 2024.
Accompanied by dignitaries including His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, as well as His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the significance of the Arabian Travel Market as a premier global gathering for leaders in the tourism industry to explore avenues for growth.
Highlighting tourism’s vital role in Dubai’s economy, Sheikh Hamdan underscored its importance in the city’s economic strategy outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. He noted the substantial increase in international visitors during the first quarter of the year, affirming Dubai’s sustained growth momentum in travel and tourism.
Emphasizing Dubai’s collaborative approach and commitment to global partnerships, Sheikh Hamdan expressed Dubai’s aim to create an environment where all stakeholders can thrive and contribute to the industry’s rapid expansion.
As Dubai solidifies its position as a top tourism destination, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the city’s pursuit of innovative ideas and strategies to enhance traveler experiences.
During his tour, Sheikh Hamdan visited the Emirates pavilion, where he received insights into the airline’s development plans for the future. He also made stops at pavilions representing flydubai, Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism, Saudi Arabia, and Visit Qatar.
This year’s Arabian Travel Market boasts record-breaking participation, with exhibitor numbers reaching 2,300 from 165 countries. Under the theme “Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship,” the event focuses on visionary entrepreneurs in the aviation, hospitality, and entertainment sectors, consolidating its position as a globally renowned event encompassing all travel sectors and verticals.
