UAE: Mohammad Al Gergawi announced as member of World Economic Forum Leadership Council

The World Economic Forum for 2023 has declared the inclusion of Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, into the WEF Leadership Council, consisting of 13 members hailing from diverse nations.

This council is slated to serve as a pivotal institutional community, offering insights for the Forum’s overarching strategy while functioning as an informal yet highly effective global liaison and annual platform fostering business advancement, as well as nurturing international cooperation and discourse.

Al Gergawi emphasized the UAE’s steadfast engagement with the World Economic Forum spanning over two decades, highlighting the nation’s pioneering role. He attributed this to the visionary leadership of UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who aims to elevate the UAE’s global stature in fostering worldwide prosperity and development.

Furthermore, Al Gergawi underscored that the UAE’s substantial presence in global forums and international arenas aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. These directives are aimed at bolstering the nation’s position as a pivotal partner in global endeavors addressing economic, social, and environmental challenges.
